Eli, we planned the perfect sunny picnic. You brought the blue blanket; I brought strawberries. Then the rain arrived. Under that little wooden roof, we shared sandwiches and agreed the weather forecast owed us an apology. Our first apartment was just as glamorous: noodles on the floor and a bookshelf leaning sideways. You held it straight and said it was excellent, as long as you never went to work again. I nearly dropped my noodles laughing. And on that cold coastal morning, you wrapped your scarf around me and poured coffee before I even asked. Strong, a little too sweet, and exactly what I needed. We watched the sky turn gold. I love your patience, your quiet kindness, and the way you make me laugh. Thank you for turning our imperfect adventures into a home. I choose them, and you, every time.
